The Sayari Gypsy Circus is the latest and most dazzling blossoming of an indigenous perfomers project co-created 15 years ago by gypsy music sensation Sayari Saperi, visionary Belgian impresario Arnaud Azzouz, and some of Rajasthan's greatest tribal virtuosos. Originally called Musafir and then Maharaja, the project group toured the world, released CDs and became a forceful new artistic model in India. Arnaud eventually left to join Universal Music Publishing, but Sayari and her creative partner Philip Tapp have pushed the group's evolution to a whole new level and are now welcoming and collaborating with spectacular artists from around the world.
